COVID-19
Our Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic
We want to share with you the preventative measures that Cumberland Heights is taking to ensure the health and safety of our patients, staff, alumni and community. Your well-being is our top priority. We have taken the following steps to minimize exposure risk and are adhering to guidelines provided by the CDC including:
- Heightened screening process for all potential admissions according to CDC guidelines.
- Increased cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and frequently touched surfaces such as door handles, railings and counter tops.
- Sharing COVID-19 prevention information to all employees. Instructing staff to stay home if they present with any symptoms.
- Maintaining employee and patient policies for social distancing and wearing masks.
Out of an abundance of caution, we have also temporarily suspended large group gatherings at our River Road campus including Aftercare meetings, Crossover meetings, the Monday Al-Anon meeting, Sunday chapel services, Sunday visitor lunch, and all off campus visitation. Additionally, we believe that family involvement is critical for patient success. We encourage you to fully participate in our virtual visitation via Facetime as well as our family counseling sessions and family programs via Zoom while we continue to heighten restrictions due to COVID-19. We will continue to assess the situation and will provide updates if any group program changes occur.
