Cumberland Heights is a nationally recognized treatment center, rooted in tradition while offering the highest quality of care. Our treatment programs are offered on our 177-acre River Road campus just outside Nashville, TN. We offer expert detox and medical care, evidence-based psychosocial therapies, and transformative spiritual, expressive, and recreational therapies.
Addiction detoxification services (detox) are medical and psychological interventions designed to help individuals safely and effectively withdraw from addictive substances. Detox services are offered at our primary residential location, known as River Road.
Addiction residential services (inpatient rehabilitation or residential treatment programs) offer a structured and supportive environment for individuals struggling with substance use and addiction, typically ranging from a few weeks to several months. Residential services are offered at our River Road and ARCH Academy locations.
Twelve-Step Immersion Services offer a structured and supportive environment for individuals seeking a holistic approach to recovery that emphasizes personal growth, self-reflection, and ongoing commitment to a recovery lifestyle, and are well-suited for individuals who resonate with the spiritual & communal aspects of the Twelve-Step approach.
Outpatient services provide treatment and support for individuals struggling with substance use and addiction while allowing them to live at home and maintain their regular daily routines. We offer both Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient programs, adapting to individuals with milder addiction issues all throughout Tennessee.
Extended Care is a transitional level of care that fits between full-time treatment and independent life. These programs typically last between 30 and 90 days, giving the individual more time than traditional inpatient programs (i.e., 30 days) to develop a deeper understanding of recovery principles to use in everyday life.
Cumberland Heights accepts a variety of insurances to make treatment accessible and affordable.

I went to Cumberland Heights in 2007 and I have to say that I have to thank them for saving my life. Most of the counselors there have also struggled with some kind of addiction so you are never judged. You are treated with respect and with dignity and I would recommend this place to anyone.
